Obsessions: Burlap

I can't help it. My eyes have been drawn to natural fibers lately - especially burlap. I love how versatile it is, and how it gives a rustic feel to everything it touches.

1. Bird nest banner 2. Jute and leather journal 3. Chairs 4. Wine bottle wraps 5. Table runner 6. "Home Sweet Home" banner 7. W.I.P. bucket 8. French burlap bolster 9. Lampshade

I'm not normally drawn to burlap, but when you put it in a pretty collage like this, then it's quite lovely! I am especially loving that journal cover and that beautiful table runner. hmmmm......

Yea! I think people can use it in some pretty spectacular ways. I want that journal sooooo bad.

One of my sisters once made burlap curtains for her living room, they were extra long and she but a thick band on linen across the bottom of each curtain. when they closed they could be so pretty when the light filtered through them, nice cheap way to make long curtain. I love your picks.

Love that runner and the journal cover ... I have to say, though, that those chairs look kinda scratchy ...

Hah, true. I suppose you probably wouldn't want to wear shorts while sitting in them.
